About Rusizi District
Rusizi District is one of the seven (7) districts that make up the Western Province. The district shares borders with two countries: the Burundi to the south, separated by the Ruhwa River, and the Democratic Republic of the Congo to the west, separated by Lake Kivu and the Rusizi River.
Rusizi District includes an urban area known as Rusizi City, which is one of the six secondary cities that support the development of Kigali.
